Our Story

Who are we and what are our values?

Signature Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Signature Group of Companies, dedicated to serving those who are most vulnerable in our communities our communities.

Guided by the values of the philosophy of karma and service to humankind, we believe we are the custodians, not owners, of the knowledge, skills and resources entrusted to us by the Almighty and these should be used for charitable purposes to ‘serve, love and give, to the underprivileged.

Serve, Love & Give

At Signature Foundation, our purpose is simple – to serve with humility, to love with compassion and to give with an open heart.

Serve

We provide meaningful assistance to underprivileged communities through projects that offer safety, shelter, education and opportunity.

Love

We seek to uplift people with compassion, dignity and respect – recognising the humanity in every individual we support.

Give

We share our resources, professional expertise and time where they are needed most, ensuring our skills benefit those in need.

Our Philanthropy

We undertake philanthropy in three ways.

Monetary Donations

We target to donate $100,000 each year to charities and not-for-profit organizations, generally with low or no overhead costs, preferably those that are located near us and whose work touches our hearts.

Pro bono (free) professional services

We provide architectural design and project management services on a pro-bono (free) basis to charities and not for profit organizations.

Hands-On Work

We undertake the following hands on works cooking and delivering meals to the underprivileged, providing phone counselling services with partners, providing mentoring to people and young businesses in the building industry.

Creating Impact Through Design

As architects, builders and developers, we understand that well-designed spaces can change lives. We use our professional skills to support projects that deliver safety, dignity, education, community, stability and hope.

Domestic Violence Shelters

Dharruk Emergency Shelter

Emergency shelter for women and children. Pro-bono design & project management to CDC approval.

Penrith Domestic Violence Shelter

Owned by DV West. Pro-bono services up to grant application. Construction commencing soon.

Whalan Domestic Violence Shelter

Signature-owned shelter. DA approved and construction expected to commence shortly.

Community Projects, including community-focused initiatives and domestic violence shelters.

Educational facility and childcare centre supporting young people.

Hands-On Service

Food for Life Programme

Beyond funding and design, we believe in serving directly. Through our Food for Life Programme, we prepare and distribute meals for individuals and families experiencing hardship—often from our own kitchens.

Lifetime Achievement Award 2025

A lifetime of dedication recognised. A Legacy Celebrated.

A significant milestone for the Signature Foundation. Our founder, Atul Kumar, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Habitat for Humanity Australia. The award was presented by Paul Mulroney, Director of Habitat for Humanity Australia, during our 2025 Christmas Party, recognizing Atul’s career-long commitment to providing shelter and dignity to those in need.

Parliamentary Recognition : Stephen Bali Speech

Acknowledging extraordinary service through the Food For Life Programme.

The impact of the Signature Foundation was formally acknowledged in Parliament by Stephen Bali. Mr. Bali highlighted the “Food for Life” program, commending our direct action in cooking and delivering meals to the underprivileged during times of crisis.
